Optometrist Role, Taunton

We are currently working with a well-established and reputable practice in the Taunton area that are looking to add an Optometrist to their team on a flexible full or part-time basis to continue their on-going success.
You will join an experienced and tenured team in a practice with low staff turnover and a phenomenal reputation in the area, where it is known as the opticians of choice.
The hours are fully flexible with options from 1-5 days which can be tailored to you, while your general hours of work will be from 8:30am-5pm.
The practice itself is a highly-established and has close links with the community it serves, where they are regularly fully booked and receive regular referrals furthering the organic growth of the practice.
There is a clear focus on the clinical aspect of Optometry, where the practice offers multiple additional services including MECS and Cataract clinics, while the owners invest in their staff and encourage clinical development including sponsorship through further courses.
Additionally the practice continually invests in the latest equipment, with test rooms boasting OCT's, phoropters, Humphries Fields Machines alongside a fully paperless system.
With numerous options for both clinical and career progression, this is an excellent prospect for an Optometrist to join a successful practice in the next stage of it's growth.


Key Duties

  • Flexible days available from 1-5 days which are fully negotiable and flexible
  • Days available from Monday-Sunday with options for weekend flexibility
  • General working hours of 8:30am-5pm
  • Modern and well-equipped clinical practice including OCT''s and Phoropter's in every test room
  • Offer wider clinical services including MECS & Cataracts amongst more
  • Working alongside an experienced and tenured team including qualified dispensing staff

Package and Benefits

  • Market leading package with an unbeatable basic salary between £45,000-£65,000 (depending on experience)

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements

  • Fully registered with the GOC as an Optometrist
  • Right to work in the UK
