A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Optical Assistant or Optical assistant Manager to join a close-knit, supportive team in a well-established optical practice based in Stowmarket.

The store is equipped with modern technology including OCT, Visual Fields, Autorefractor, and Tonometer, enabling the delivery of advanced eye care services to the local community.

This is a small, friendly store with a strong community focus and a loyal patient base.

The team prides itself on delivering exceptional customer service and professional eye care, making it a great place for someone who enjoys working collaboratively in a warm and welcoming environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the store and will ideally bring previous experience within optics, along with a genuine passion for helping people.

Key Duties

• Deliver excellent customer service and patient care
• Assist with the management of daily store operations
• Support and motivate the team to meet performance and service goals
• Carry out pre-screening tests and assist in the dispensing of optical products
• Help customers choose frames and lenses that best suit their needs
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, stock control, and presentation
• Handle customer queries, bookings, and aftercare efficiently
• Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures and company policies

Package and Benefits

• £28,000 - £30,000 (higher salary negotiable depending on experience and skillset)

Key Skills and Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Optical Assistant is essential
