A prestigious veterinary practice in Ipswich is eagerly seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Veterinary Nurse to become a valuable member of their team. This practice is home to 7 experienced vets, 6 dedicated nurses, an SVN, and a supportive group of reception and support staff. This exceptional practice is a blend of talents and experience, offering a mix of both newer and seasoned team members who all benefit from mutual support. Their team ethos is further enhanced by the presence of a mental health wellbeing advocate, ensuring that every team member's well-being is a priority.

Nestled within a picturesque Grade 2 listed building, this practice perfectly marries historic charm with modern facilities. Following recent extensions and upgrades, it boasts a purpose-built surgical, diagnostic and treatment suite equipped with all the latest tools and technologies. From digital x-ray and ultrasound to video endoscopes and multiparameter monitoring, the clinic ensures that their team has access to the best resources for providing exceptional care.

Full-time hours for this role typically span 40 hours per week, spread across either 4 or 5 days. However, the practice is also open to considering part-time applicants. As part of the team, you'll share a 1:6 rotation for Saturday mornings, with no out-of-hours requirement. This balance ensures you can enjoy a fulfilling work-life schedule, allowing you to excel both professionally and personally.

Key Duties

As an RVN in this practice, you'll engage in a diverse array of general nursing duties. From clinics to anaesthetics, assisting in theater and patient care, your role will be multifaceted and rewarding. Importantly, there are no reception duties, enabling you to focus on delivering exceptional nursing care. The practice places a strong emphasis on professional growth and development, actively encouraging nurses to explore and expand their clinical interests. With a generous CPD allowance of £500, and the potential to pursue certificates, you'll find ample opportunities to further your expertise.
