An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established independent practice in the Woking area. Key Duties

  • Deliver high-quality first-opinion veterinary care to small animal patients
  • Manage a varied caseload of consultations, diagnostics, medical cases, and routine surgery
  • Build strong relationships with clients through excellent communication and continuity of care
  • Perform routine surgical procedures and diagnostic workups
  • Undertake some sole charge responsibilities, particularly on Tuesdays
  • Collaborate with colleagues and visiting specialists to provide the highest standards of patient care
  • Contribute to the continued growth and development of the practice

Working Pattern

  • Typically 3 days per week (Monday, Tuesday and Friday)
  • Usual working hours of 9:00am - 6:00pm
  • Consulting sessions generally between 9:00am-11:00am and 4:00pm-6:00pm
  • Surgery time allocated on Monday and Friday mornings, with additional surgery opportunities on Tuesdays
  • No out-of-hours requirements
  • Potential for increased hours as the practice expands

Key Skills, Qualifications and Requirements

  • BVSc or equivalent qualification recognised in the UK
  • RCVS registration
  • Previous experience in small animal practice
  • Confident with routine consultations and surgery
  • Comfortable with occasional sole charge responsibilities
  • Strong communication and client relationship-building skills
  • Team-oriented approach with a positive attitude
  • Passion for delivering outstanding patient and client care
