Twilight Veterinary Nurse Role, Chichester

Independent emergency hospital in Chichester is seeking a twilight RVN to join this fanastic emergency team. With a fantastic work-life balance and career progression!

Located in Storrington, this state-of-the-art emergency Veterinary Hospital looks forward to welcoming a RVN to their friendly team. The team itself is made up of multiple certificate holders, advanced practitioners as well as visiting specialists. Working in this fast-paced role, you will be expected to deliver a high quality of care to each patient and client in this twilight RVN position.

The practice is proudly independent and prides itself on its facilities and equipment from extensive lab equipment, modern theatre suite with advanced anaesthetic monitoring devices as well as a range of both orthopaedic and soft tissue surgical equipment.

In return for your hard work, this practice can offer a fantastic salary of up to £31,000 depending on experience and qualifications and is the perfect place to progress your career and develop your nursing skills within a friendly and supportive practice. The practice is happy to support CPD and further learning and has supported multiple nurses through certificates.

Because of the nature of the role, the practice is seeking someone with a minimum of 1 year's experience as a registered veterinary nurse and would ideally suit someone with either experience in or a passion for emergency care.

A massive part of the position will be ensuring a smooth transition between day and night teams, meaning you must have good organisational and communication skills.

Key Duties

  • Dealing with incoming emergencies
  • Inpatient care
  • Must be competent and comfortable in dealing with emergency and surgical nursing including challenging anaesthetics
  • Can work under pressure and have problem solving abilities
  • Can work as past of a fast-paced friendly team

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements

  • Regstered on the RCVS to work as a Veterinary Nurse
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Minimum 1 year's expereince as a qualified RVN
  • Experience working in emergency care is not essential although experience would be advantageous
