Veterinary Surgeon

I am currently working with a fantastic practice looking to recruit a Lead Branch Vet for their small animal practice based in West Sussex. These practices are proudly independent and are highly motivated to create a better veterinary future for their team.

This position is for a small animal practice that has plans to grow and expand, with four busy branch clinics and two neighbouring state-of-the-art hospitals. They are seeking a driven, experienced Lead Branch Vet to join their well-established team.

The ideal candidate will be able to put all of their skills and expertise to use in a supportive surgical and medical setting while managing emergencies and caring for a wide range of patients.

Key Duties

The rota works on a typical 4-day week, totalling 40 hours. This usually includes a mixture of shifts (7.30am-6pm, 8.30am-7pm and 9.30am-8pm).

Everyone contributes to the daytime weekend rota, TOIL (time off in lieu) is returned for working weekends, and everyone is expected to contribute to the bank holiday rota, and to any on-call where necessary.

Weekend/bank holiday working will be daytimes only and from one of the 24hr hospitals nearby, during these shifts Vets will be providing veterinary in-patient care and a seeing new emergency cases.
