An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Part-Time Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly, locally owned small animal practice in the Aberdeen area on a maternity cover basis.

The practice has an experienced and supportive team of around 15 colleagues and offers genuine clinical freedom, a varied and loyal client base, and the opportunity to work cases up to a high standard. You'll have the support of an experienced leadership team while being trusted to make clinical decisions and develop your own areas of interest.

The Role

• Part-time Veterinary Surgeon position offered initially as maternity cover.
• Flexible working arrangement of approximately 20 hours per week, with additional hours available if desired.
• Varied first-opinion small animal caseload with a loyal local client base.
• Opportunity to work cases up to a high clinical standard.
• Clinical freedom and encouragement to develop your skills and interests.
• Comfortable working independently and undertaking occasional sole-charge duties.
• Strong support from an experienced practice and clinical leadership team.
• No out-of-hours requirements.
• 1:4 Saturday rota.

Key Skills, Qualifications and Requirements

• MRCVS or eligible to register with the RCVS.
• Experience in small animal practice.
• Confident managing a varied first-opinion caseload.
• Comfortable with occasional sole-charge work.
• Strong communication and client-care skills.
• A team-oriented approach with the ability to work collaboratively.
• Keen to maintain and develop clinical skills.
