Pharmacy Manager (Pharmacist)

My client is seeking a detail-oriented, experienced Pharmacy Manager with a strong focus on patient care and community impact. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident pharmacist with at least 5 years' post-qualification experience to step into a key leadership role.

The ideal candidate will combine clinical excellence with a forward-thinking approach to the evolving role of community pharmacy. You'll lead a well-structured team, with oversight of an ACT Dispensary Manager and ACT Care Home/Contracts Manager, both independently managing their areas, allowing you to focus on leadership, service development, and clinical standards.

You'll have the autonomy to shape the branch's future, supported by a strong Head Office and experienced colleagues. The role requires the post-holder to enjoy working work with a range of diverse and external contracts in the following sectors: hospice, justice, and intermediate care.

This role is for a progressive leader who understands that the future of community pharmacy lies beyond dispensing; someone who embraces innovation, technology, and automation; and the role this plays in modern community Pharmacy.

Independent Prescribing (IP) preferred however, support with this in future if not already gained

Monday - Friday, 9am - 6pm = 45 hrs p/w (occasional Saturdays)

Key Duties

  • Oversee efficient, safe pharmacy operations with a focus on detail, compliance, and patient care; supported by experienced managers, allowing you to lead strategically
  • Inspire a high-performing team while actively supporting student training and early-career development in a learning-focused environment
  • Embrace new services and contribute ideas as innovation and proactive leadership is valued
  • Understand the changing landscape of community pharmacy and actively contribute to how services grow and adapt in response to patient and NHS needs

Package and Benefits

  • £65,000 - £67,000p/a (negotiable DOE)
  • 5 weeks holiday + BH

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • MUST be a qualified Pharmacist in the UK with GPhC registration
  • MUST have IRO 5 years Pharmacy Management experience
