Finding the Right Pharmacist Job in Scotland

For one pharmacist we recently supported, the priorities were clear: career progression, a much shorter commute, a better salary and a role that better suited their long-term plans.

With support from Gemma at Prospect Health, they have now secured a new pharmacist job in Irvine, Scotland, stepping up into a management position, increasing their salary while cutting their daily commute to just 10 minutes.

Finding a role that matched what they wanted

Our candidate had been in contact with Gemma since their training year, so when the time came to look for their next Pharmacist role in Scotland, Gemma already had a good understanding of what they were looking for.

The move has already made a significant difference.

Previously working as a pharmacist, the candidate has now progressed into a management position, giving them the opportunity to develop a new set of skills and take the next step in their pharmacy career.

The new role is also much closer to home.

“It’s a step up in my career. I was a pharmacist before, but now I’m a manager, so I’m developing new skills. It’s also much closer to me, it’s only about a 10-minute drive.”

The role is also supporting their continued professional development as they begin their Independent Prescribing (IP) course. Longer term, their working pattern will move to Monday to Friday, giving them their weekends back too.
