Key Duties

  • Emphasis is placed on delivering value through a personalized and bespoke service, facilitated by a team of highly professional and qualified staff in a beautifully presented single test room practice
  • The practice ensures optimal patient outcomes by providing the latest testing equipment and provide generous test times c.30 minutes with pre-screens provided on behalf of the clinician by a tenured support team
  • The practice boasts an open-plan layout with a contemporary design, offering a diverse range of eyewear options for patients following their eye examinations
  • As a family-owned establishment, there is a genuine commitment to serving the local community and fostering repeat business across multiple generations
  • The primary goal is to achieve 100% customer satisfaction, reflecting the practice's dedication to exceeding patient expectations
  • In contrast to a corporate setting, the environment is notably more relaxed, prioritizing the establishment of long-term relationships and custom rather than quick sales
  • The role spans from Monday to Saturday, with working hours from 9 am to 5:30 pm with the additional advantage of only alternate Saturdays being requested if preferred and no Sundays. (Mid week days available include Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays).
  • The practice goes beyond standard eye tests and can offer support for passionate clinicians to further develop their skills in more advanced services such as independent prescribing

Package and Benefits

  • The salary is negotiable and contingent on experience, with the potential to reach approximately £63,000 for exceptionally qualified and experienced professionals
  • The practice offers 5 weeks of holiday, along with an additional 8 days for bank holidays (33 days in total which will pro rata accordingly for part time), recognizing the importance of work-life balance. The practice remains closed on bank holidays and Sundays

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements

  • GOC registration as an Optometrist is a prerequisite
