A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established and supportive small animal practice in the Peterborough area. This role is ideal for a vet seeking a weekend-only position, offering flexibility while remaining part of a collaborative and experienced clinical team.

Key Duties

• Deliver high-quality first-opinion veterinary care through consultations
• Provide excellent client communication and patient care
• Work collaboratively with an experienced clinical and support team
• Maintain high clinical standards in a consult-only setting

Working Pattern

• Minimum 1 in 4 weekends
• Saturday: 9:00am 5:00pm
• Sunday: 10:00am 4:00pm
• Consultations only
• No out-of-hours commitments
• Bank holidays shared across the wider team
• This role is ideal for those seeking flexible working alongside other commitments.

Practice Facilities

• Well-equipped small animal practice across multiple sites
• Modern facilities supporting high-quality diagnostics and treatment
• Experienced team including 7 vets, registered nurses, student nurses, and dedicated support staff
• Strong clinical expertise within the team, including certificate holders in medicine, cardiology, and imaging
• Additional services such as physiotherapy and acupuncture available

Key Skills, Qualifications and Requirements

• BVSc or equivalent qualification recognised in the UK
• RCVS registration (or eligibility)
• Ideally 1+ year experience in small animal practice
• Confident in consultations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Passion for high standards of patient and client care
