Prospect Health are delighted to be working with a leading and rapidly expanding healthcare provider in Canada to recruit a Consultant Psychiatrist for clinics based in Ontario.

This is an excellent opportunity to join one of Canada's most established outpatient clinic networks, delivering high-quality, patient-focused mental health services within modern, well-equipped facilities.

The Opportunity

You will join a multidisciplinary clinical team providing comprehensive psychiatric care across a diverse patient population. The role offers flexibility, strong earning potential, and the opportunity to develop your own area of clinical interest within a highly supportive and collaborative environment.

The organisation operates a large network of outpatient clinics across Canada, supporting thousands of healthcare professionals and delivering accessible, community-based care with a strong emphasis on innovation and patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia
• Develop and implement personalised treatment plans, including pharmacological and therapeutic interventions
• Provide ongoing psychiatric care and follow-up for patients
• Work collaboratively with family physicians, psychologists, and allied health professionals
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with regulatory standards
• Option to develop specialist interests (e.g. addiction, ADHD, mood disorders, or psychotherapy)

Candidate Requirements

• Specialist qualification in Psychiatry
• Eligibility for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA)
• Experience in outpatient or community psychiatry preferred
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and patient-centered care skills
