Job Summary  

With the practice situated in the bustling market town of Bishop Auckland, just a short drive away from Durham, this is the ideal location for those loving the countryside while still being near city amenities like Middlesbrough, Durham, Newcastle, Darlington, and Sunderland!

The practice consists of a main site and two smaller satellite branches, with this role primarily based out of the larger, main site. Rarely, you may need to cover at the smaller sites, both just a short drive away.

The main site is well equipped with standard tools as well as video endoscopy, laparoscopic equipment, digital/dental x-ray, and a superior ultrasound machine. With high-spec theatres, many consult rooms, separate cat, dog, and small furry wards, plus a large prep area with a CT scanner arriving in the new year, you'll have everything you need.

Joining a team of over 15 vets across all three sites, you'll be surrounded by certificate holders in surgery, medicine, and imaging. The team eagerly shares their knowledge, making this practice an excellent place to develop your skills. There's plenty of scope to dive into intriguing cases with no protective attitudes over case loads.

Key Duties  

This role involves a 4-day week split between consulting and surgery, with potential to adjust for any medical or surgical biases. 

The practice regularly handles a variety of exciting and challenging cases, including advanced surgeries.

Weekends are 1 in 6, plus only 2 days during the week when it's your weekend, maintaining a consistent 4-day work week.
