The role

As a Field Inventory Specialist, you play a critical role in ensuring accurate, compliant, and optimized management of consignment and field inventory across hospitals and clinics. You'll work closely with healthcare professionals and internal teams to protect stock integrity, improve availability, and support patient care.

This is a hands-on, field-based position requiring strong organisation, analytical thinking, and excellent communication skills.

What you'll be doing

• Conduct on-site inventory counts for sterile implants, non-sterile implants, and surgical instrument sets
• Co-develop and execute the annual inventory count plan, balancing risk, priorities, and operational constraints
• Coordinate site visits with hospital logistics teams, operating room staff, and internal sales partners
• Reconcile physical counts against system data, investigate discrepancies, and perform root-cause analysis
• Process inventory adjustments (transfers, corrections, expiries, write-offs) in ERP systems with full audit compliance
• Prepare and share clear, data-driven reports highlighting discrepancies, expiry risks, and optimization opportunities
• Identify ways to reduce excess stock, improve rotation, and prevent expiries
• Act as a professional company representative on site, building trusted, long-term relationships with customers

Who we're looking for:

Essential experience

• At least 1 year in inventory management, field operations, or hospital logistics
• Experience in a medical device, healthcare, or hospital environment
• Strong understanding of compliance, audit processes, and regulated documentation
• Confident communicator able to work with hospital staff, sales teams, and cross-functional colleagues
• Fluent in Dutch and English
• French is a strong advantage for work in Belgium
• Willingness to travel extensively (approx. 80%) across the Benelux region

Nice to have

• Experience with medical implants, surgical instruments, or regulated healthcare products
• Knowledge of expiration management and handling requirements
• Strong Microsoft Office skills and hands-on ERP experience
• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, business, biomedical engineering, or similar
• Interest in supporting training, onboarding, or mentoring new team members
