An exceptional independent practice in the Snodland area is currently looking for a new Optometrist 3-4 days a week. With an excellent reputation and owned by Optometrists who are renowned for their work, you will join a very well-established practice with excellent support from both the shop floor staff and owners who continue to test.

They are open to applications from both experienced and newly qualified Optometrists as a lot of support will be given to those at the start of their career, while more experienced Optometrists will have the autonomy to take charge of their work.

Moreover, the standard testing times range from between 45 minutes to 1 hour which generally includes having your pre-screening done for you, however if you need to complete our own you are given additional time on top of the 45 minutes/1 hour.

The practice itself is state of the art and has equipment including OCT, Dry Eye Machine, and Tonometer amongst more with a fully paperless records system.

They have exceptionally low staff turnover and would expect whoever joins them to stay in the role for years to come.

The package scales up depending upon experience and your additional qualifications, with the basic salary negotiable up to circa £80000 per annum.

With flexibility on the days you want to work and also are very understanding when it comes to taking time off for personal events etc.

Key Duties

• The practice has been established for more than 20 years and has fast become one of the leading eye care and eyewear specialists in the area
• Prestigious Independent with highly established patients allowing a less sales driven, pressure free environment
• Very clinical practice with close links with local hospitals in the area running specialist services including Glaucoma monitoring, Dry Eye assessments, Diabetic screening, Cataract assessments and advanced Contact Lens work
• Equipped with state-of-the-art technology including OCT, Phoropters, Dry Eye machine, Auto-refractor amongst more
• Flexible testing times up to circa 45 minutes to 1 hour offering unparalleled patient care
• Working closely alongside the owners who is are fully qualified Optometrists
• They truly believe in running an opticians that builds close relationships with patients and staff to achieve a more long term goal
• General working hours of 9am-5:30pm
• Experienced team already in place including Dispensing Opticians
