Small Animal Vet Surgeon Independent Practice, Battersea

An independent, first-opinion small animal practice in Battersea is seeking a confident and self-sufficient Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly team. This role has arisen due to a much-loved vet of 18 years relocating, so you'll be stepping into an established caseload with excellent client relationships already in place.

The role is full-time, averaging 37 hours across four days per week, with just one in four Saturday mornings (9am1pm, consults only). There are no out-of-hours or bank holiday commitments. You'll typically spend two days on consultations and two days combining consults, discharges, and surgeries, with 20-minute appointments as standard. Some sole charge will be required on Saturdays.

The practice has three vets, with two working at any given time, supported by seven experienced nurses and support staff. They have a particular focus on dentistry, carrying out a high volume of dental procedures, and are equipped with DR digital X-ray, dental machines, and ultrasound. Visiting specialists provide additional support in cardiology, orthopaedics, and advanced imaging. Parking is available via a dedicated rented space just a short walk from the clinic.

They're seeking a small animal vet with at least three years' experience, confident in surgery, dentistry, and ultrasonography, and able to work independently. A salary of £50,000£70,000 is on offer depending on experience, with CPD actively supported, including certificates.
