Veterinary Surgeon South West London

Are you looking for a Veterinary Surgeon role where you can build genuine client relationships, develop your clinical interests and work within a supportive, independent team?

We are recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded independent small animal practice in South West London, offering an excellent opportunity for a Vet who values continuity of care, clinical freedom and high standards of patient care.

The Role

This is a varied first-opinion position suited to a Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys working across a broad caseload while having the freedom and support to develop their own areas of clinical interest.

The practice places a strong emphasis on giving vets the time to investigate cases thoroughly and communicate effectively with clients, with minimum 20-minute consultations.

You'll have access to excellent clinical facilities, including:

• In-house IDEXX laboratory
• Digital X-ray
• Ultrasound and microscopy
• Modern surgical theatres
• Dedicated imaging facilities
• High-quality inpatient kennelling
• Excellent dental facilities
• Separate cat-only clinic with dedicated consultation rooms, theatre, imaging and inpatient areas

The Team

You'll be joining a friendly and experienced team that includes an RCVS Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Surgery, vets developing their interests in surgery and diagnostic imaging, and an experienced RVN team.

The practice has been established around the principles of independence, continuity of care, clear communication and putting patients first. This creates an environment where vets can deliver high-quality medicine while maintaining genuine clinical autonomy and avoiding the feel of a corporate environment.

Key Skills, Qualifications and Requirements

• RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon
• Confident working in general small animal practice
• Passionate about delivering high standards of patient and client care
• Strong communicator who enjoys building long-term client relationships
• Keen to develop clinical interests and continue building their skills
• Comfortable working collaboratively within a close-knit team
• Experienced GP Vets and ambitious Vets looking for a supportive environment to develop are encouraged to apply

Package and Benefits

• Salary of £50,000 £70,000 DOE
