A full or Part time Optometrist position has become available within one of the biggest independents in the North East.

You will step into a relaxed role in which you have up to 45 minutes to test. This really is a practice passionate about exceptional eyecare. You can expect a large range of designer frames, qualified dispensing opticians, in house labs and an ethos of professional service and value to deliver the best eye healthcare to its patients.

With great prospects for professional and clinical development, this is a wonderful opportunity for an Optometrist looking to expand there clinical knowledge and reach there full potential.

A wonderful factor of this role is that no Sunday work is required and Saturday work can be flexible where necessary. The practice is also easily accessible both in a car and on public transport, there is also a free car parking available.

Your week will be split between three Northumberland based practices, multiple practice cover will not be required in one day.

Key Duties

  • General working hours 9am-5:00pm (Mon-Fri)
  • Shorter day on Saturdays
  • Full or part role of 3-5 days
  • Saturday cover required with potential flexibility
  • Flexible test times of 30-45 minutes with pre screens
  • Working alongside highly trained and experienced support staff enabling you to better perform your role with ease and confidence
  • Multiple practice cover (based in only one practice per day)

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements

  • Possess the right to work in the United Kingdom
  • Registered as an Optometrist with the GOC or be currently in training to gain professional status
