We are representing a global, award winning medical device manufacturer with a significant and growing operation in Belfast.

This organisation operates within a highly regulated Class III environment and supplies advanced, life enhancing technologies to markets worldwide.

Due to continued investment and operational growth, we are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to lead a production team and deliver operational excellence across safety, quality, delivery, cost and engagement metrics.

The Opportunity

This is a key frontline leadership role within a sophisticated manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will manage people and processes to exceed customer expectations while driving continuous improvement, structured change initiatives and operational discipline across the site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead day to day production operations, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, cost and engagement targets are consistently achieved
  • Plan and allocate resources including people, materials, equipment and systems to optimise performance
  • Monitor daily KPIs, identify risks early and implement corrective actions using structured problem solving methodologies
  • Develop, coach and mentor team members to build capability and support succession planning
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement and lead Lean and operational excellence initiatives
  • Lead the Daily Management process, ensuring transparency of performance through tiered review meetings and effective shift handovers
  • Partner cross functionally with Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering, HR and Finance to support optimisation and business growth
  • Support proactive workforce planning and recruitment, utilising capacity and competency development tools to align capability with demand
  • Drive consistent and effective performance management within Operations
  • Maintain a safe, compliant and positive working environment aligned with regulatory and company standards
  • Contribute to Operations strategic planning as required
  • Own NC and CAPA processes and ensure timely and effective resolution

Package:

  • £47,000 to £55,000 base
  • 10% bonus
  • Full corporate benefits package

Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum of 5 years industry experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment
  • Level 6 or Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated experience in driving process or continuous improvement initiatives, with Lean or Green Belt certification preferred
  • Proven people leadership capability within a regulated or quality critical environment
  • Strong analytical skills and structured problem solving approach
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
