Prescribing Pharmacist in GP Surgery

GP Practice Prescribing Pharmacist- Full Time- NHS Pension- PAYE

This is a Part time tole- 30 hours per week

Key Duties

  • Providing expert services and support to patients registered with our Hub
  • Offering clear and accessible advice on medicines, repeat prescriptions, and general pharmaceutical queries
  • Assisting with prescribing, medicines optimization, and high-risk drug management audits across primary care sites
  • Using critical thinking and effective communication skills to assess and address patient needs
  • Prescribing urgent prescriptions and ensuring accurate re-prescribing using summary care record information
  • Identifying and addressing clinical risks in line with professional responsibilities
  • Keeping clear, accurate, and timely records of all consultations and advice given
  • Actively engaging with colleagues to deliver outstanding service

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Have completed the CPPE General Practice Pharmacist Pathway
  • Be a Non-Medical Prescriber
  • Have a passion for continuing professional development
  • Bring extensive experience working in a primary care setting
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage workload and support pharmacy-related tasks with confidence
  • Be committed to delivering high-quality patient consultations and care
