Our client is seeking a Specialist Physician (Obstetrics & Gynaecology) to join a busy outpatient clinic providing comprehensive women's healthcare services. Working within a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you'll benefit from modern facilities, experienced administrative support and streamlined digital systems, allowing you to focus on delivering outstanding patient care.

The Opportunity
You will provide specialist obstetric and gynaecological care, managing patients across all stages of women's reproductive health, from routine gynaecological conditions through to pregnancy, childbirth and postnatal care.
Working alongside family physicians and a multidisciplinary clinical team, you will assess, diagnose and treat a broad range of conditions whilst developing your own specialist practice within a well-established healthcare environment.
This position offers the opportunity to perform both outpatient consultations and, where appropriately credentialed, surgical procedures within hospital settings.

Clinic Environment
You'll join a modern, well-supported clinic designed to help physicians deliver outstanding patient care while minimising administrative workload.
The clinic provides:
- Experienced Medical Office Assistants (MOAs), reception staff and dedicated clinic management
- Fully integrated Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Streamlined referral pathways and efficient clinical workflows
- Collaborative working alongside family physicians and specialist colleagues
- Dedicated billing, IT and administrative support
- Modern consulting rooms and excellent clinical infrastructure
Key Duties
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assessing, diagnosing and treating a wide range of obstetric and gynaecological conditions
- Providing comprehensive antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care
- Managing both routine and high-risk pregnancies
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic investigations, including laboratory tests, ultrasound imaging and colposcopy
- Developing personalised treatment and follow-up plans
- Prescribing medications and delivering evidence-based treatment
- Performing diagnostic and therapeutic surgical procedures, where appropriately credentialed
- Providing specialist advice and consultations to referring healthcare professionals
- Educating patients and their families regarding reproductive health and treatment options
- Maintaining accurate electronic medical records
- Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Participating in continuing professional development and quality improvement initiatives
Candidate Requirements
Applicants should have:
- Medical degree from a recognised medical school
- Completion of an approved residency programme in Obstetrics & Gynaecology
- Certification, or eligibility for certification, by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC)
- Eligibility for medical registration with the relevant provincial College of Physicians and Surgeons
- Membership in good standing with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA), or eligibility to obtain membership
- Additional fellowship or subspecialty training (such as Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility or Urogynaecology) would be advantageous but is not essential
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-focused approach to care
- International applicants, including UK-trained specialists, are encouraged to enquire, subject to licensing eligibility
