At this Urgent Care Centre, you'll be part of a team delivering accessible, high-quality care to patients who need assessment and treatment for urgent presentations. You'll have the autonomy to use your advanced clinical skills while working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary primary care team.
What you'll be doing
You'll take responsibility for assessing and managing patients from presentation through to diagnosis, treatment and follow-up. Your day-to-day work will include:
- Carrying out comprehensive clinical assessments and taking patient histories.
- Diagnosing and treating a wide range of minor illnesses and injuries.
- Making safe, evidence-based clinical decisions and recognising when onward referral or escalation is required.
- Developing and evaluating appropriate treatment plans.
- Working closely with GPs, nurses and the wider practice team to provide joined-up patient care.
- Supporting clinical standards, governance and quality improvement.
- Providing clinical leadership and sharing your expertise with colleagues where appropriate.
- Helping us continually improve the experience and outcomes of the patients we care for.
What you'll bring
We're looking for an experienced advanced practitioner who is confident working independently while also being a strong team player.
You'll ideally have:
- Experience working within a primary care environment.
- Current NMC registration.
- Advanced clinical practice experience, or be actively working towards advanced clinical practice status.
- Minor illness and minor injury qualifications - essential.
- Non-medical prescribing qualification, or be working towards this.
- The ability to demonstrate strong assessment, diagnosis and clinical decision-making skills.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and clinical governance.

- Salary up to £60,000, depending on qualifications and experience
