Pharmacist Manager - Independent Community Pharmacy

An established independent community pharmacy in a desirable market town in Hertfordshire is seeking a capable and dedicated Pharmacist Manager to lead its team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated pharmacist to take ownership of a well-run pharmacy, delivering high-quality patient care while driving operational excellence.

The Role

You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of the pharmacy, ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with all regulatory requirements. This is a hands-on leadership role combining clinical expertise, team management, and operational oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily pharmacy operations, ensuring smooth workflow and compliance with GPhC standards
• Lead, supervise, and support a team including foundation trainees, technicians, and counter staff
• Oversee ordering, stock control, and inventory management
• Ensure safe and accurate dispensing using the Titan PMR system
• Provide expert advice to patients on medications, side effects, and general health
• Maintain accurate patient and prescription records
• Work collaboratively with local healthcare professionals to support patient outcomes
• Implement and improve pharmacy procedures to enhance service quality
• Ensure compliance with health & safety and governance standards

About You

• GPhC-registered Pharmacist
• Previous experience in a management or leadership role within pharmacy (preferred)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Organised, proactive, and committed to delivering excellent patient care
• Confident in leading a team and driving service improvements
