Job Summary

An award-winning, high-end independent optical store in the heart of Nottingham is seeking to welcome a new Dispensing Optician to their close-knit team.

Known for its cutting-edge clinics and exceptional patient care, this modern and stylish practice offers a unique opportunity for an ambitious individual to thrive in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

Working alongside an experienced and highly regarded DO, the successful candidate will benefit from real-time support and shared expertise.

While a qualified Dispensing Optician is preferred, the team is open to considering an experienced non-qualified dispenser and is happy to support the right candidate through their DO qualification.

This isn't just any optical practice the store has earned multiple industry awards and runs specialist clinics including Dry Eye, School Vision, and Sports Vision, with a client base that includes elite athletes and members of the Ladies England Cricket Team.

Key Duties

• Advising patients on the most suitable eyewear for their needs, lifestyle, and prescription
• Dispensing a wide range of frames and lenses, including bespoke and high-end options
• Ensuring accurate fitting and adjustments for optimal comfort and vision
• Providing support and expertise in specialist clinics when required
• Maintaining high standards of customer care and professional service
• Assisting in mentoring junior team members or trainees
• Keeping up to date with industry trends and product knowledge

Package and Benefits

• Full-time position: Tuesday to Saturday
• Competitive salary of £28,000 £35,000, dependent on experience
