An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Dispensing Optician or DO Manager to join a well-established, family-run independent optical store located in the heart of Newark.

This award-winning practice is renowned for delivering exceptional customer care and fostering long-term relationships with patients. With a strong commitment to personalised service, each patient enjoys dedicated one-hour appointments with highly experienced Optometrists, allowing for thorough consultations in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

The ideal candidate will be a people-focused professional with a genuine passion for optometry and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service. Whether you're an experienced DO manager or simply a qualified Dispensing Optician ready to take the next step in your career, this role offers a supportive and friendly working environment where patient care always comes first.

Key Duties

• Provide expert advice on eyewear and lenses tailored to individual needs
• Lead and motivate a small, dedicated team
• Maintain high standards of clinical and customer service
• Support the day-to-day operations of the practice
• Practice Hours: 9am to 5pm Monday - Friday, 9am to 4.30pm Saturday
• Busy practice with 2 clinics running everyday
• Assists the Optometrist with pre-tests
• Having a keen sense for customer service and fashion

Key Skills and Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 to 3 years' experience in Optics
• Must hold full right to work in the UK
• Future focused mindset
• Contact lense teaches experience preferred
• GOC registered
