An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established, independent veterinary group in the heart of East Grinstead.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon looking to join a genuinely supportive practice where employee wellbeing is a priority, clinical standards are high, and the team are given the time and resources to deliver exceptional patient care.

The Practice

This long-standing independent practice has achieved both RCVS Practice Standards Scheme Small Animal General Practice accreditation and ISFM Gold Cat Friendly Clinic status, reflecting its commitment to providing the highest standards of veterinary care.

You'll become part of a friendly, experienced and stable team that prides itself on its collaborative approach and positive working culture. The practice has invested heavily in creating an environment where vets can thrive, with a dedicated management team continually looking at ways to improve workflows, support wellbeing and ensure every team member feels valued.

Appointments are scheduled with both patient care and clinician wellbeing in mind, with:

• Standard 15-minute consultations
• Extended 30-minute appointments for more complex cases
• Dedicated one-hour euthanasia appointments
• Protected administration time built into every shift
• Digital client communication through PetsApp
• Overnight inpatient care provided by dedicated nursing staff five nights per week

The successful candidate will enjoy a varied first opinion caseload within a supportive clinical environment.

The practice offers genuine flexibility, allowing vets to choose between:

• 8-hour or 10-hour shifts
• Full-time or part-time working
• Average 1 in 6 Saturday rota
• No excessive weekend commitments
• Overtime and Saturday work returned as time off in lieu

You'll be supported by a highly experienced nursing team, allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality clinical care while maintaining an excellent work-life balance.
