Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon

Salary: £45,000-£70,000 DOE

Are you an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon looking to join a friendly, forward-thinking team just a short walk from the sea?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established practice in Eastbourne. This role would suit a vet with at least two years' experience who has strong consulting skills, sound surgical abilities and a genuine interest in developing their clinical knowledge.

You'll be joining an experienced team of veterinary surgeons, nurses and client care colleagues, with access to a varied and interesting caseload. The practice encourages continued learning and supports its team in developing areas of individual clinical interest.

The Role

• Full-time position preferred, although part-time applications are welcome.
• A varied small animal caseload with opportunities to develop clinical interests.
• Carry out consultations and routine surgical procedures.
• Work alongside an experienced veterinary and nursing team.
• No out-of-hours requirements.
• One in four weekend rota.
• Paid breaks.

Practice Facilities and Equipment

The bright, spacious and air-conditioned practice has been purpose-built to high standards, with separate cat and dog areas designed to help minimise stress for patients.

Facilities and equipment include:

• Separate cat and dog wards, kennels, theatres, preparation areas and waiting rooms.
• Ultrasound.
• Digital radiography, including dental radiography.
• Endoscopy and laparoscopy equipment.
• In-house laboratory.
• Laser therapy.
• Acupuncture.

Key Skills and Requirements

• Qualified Veterinary Surgeon with at least two years' experience in small animal practice.
• Confident consulting skills and good client communication.
• Competent in routine surgical procedures.
• A proactive approach to clinical development.
• A team-focused attitude and commitment to high standards of patient care.

Package and Benefits

• Salary of £45,000-£70,000, depending on experience.
