After training with us as an undergraduate and over 6 years of service, one of the vets is seeking a new venture in veterinary academia. Hence, we are excited to offer this opportunity to an experienced vet who shares this practice's passion for patient care. Enjoy working in their 24-hour hospital in Sheffield, famously known as the "Outdoor City", and located close to the beautiful Peak District.

The Role 

We are in search of an enthusiastic and committed individual to join their close-knit, dedicated team. Their busy, first opinion, fully equipped small animal veterinary hospital provides its own 24-hour emergency care, allowing you to witness the progression of your cases. With peripatetic orthopaedic surgeons and a cardiologist, alongside an experienced team of 8 Veterinary Surgeons, 6 Nurses, 3 Student Nurses, and other supportive staff, you will be part of a dynamic environment.

In a typical FTE working week, day shifts average 36-37.5 hours, covering the main hospital and a branch site in picturesque Hathersage (the inspiration for "Morton" in Jane Eyre). The role involves day shifts (8-9 ½ hr shifts with a paid ½ hr lunch) and participation in the on-call rota, which includes weekdays and weekends (worked from home with a nurse on site) on a flexible shift basis. Part-time positions, including on-call rota participation, are also available.

Successful Candidate 

- Passion for patient care in a 24-hour first opinion small animal independent RCVS accredited hospital 

- Must hold a UK driving license
