Veterinary Surgeon Part-Time

A progressive small animal practice in Llanelli is seeking a part-time Veterinary Surgeon to join their supportive, close-knit team. This role is ideal for candidates seeking flexibility, work-life balance, and a collaborative environment where patient care comes first.

About the Practice
The practice has a reputation for high-quality care and a loyal client base. The team comprises four veterinarians (ranging from a new graduate to over 30 years' experience), five experienced nurses, and four reception staff. They prioritize teamwork and professional support, ensuring colleagues can thrive while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
The surgery is located in a Retail Park and features industry-leading facilities, including digital radiography, ultrasound, and an in-house laboratory. Appointment lengths are designed to provide sufficient time for high-quality care, and the practice values staff wellbeing with fully paid lunch breaks and guaranteed finishing times.

Role Overview
The Veterinary Surgeon will:
  • Work primarily in consultations and routine procedures, with opportunities to engage in more complex cases
  • Build strong rapport with clients and provide compassionate, high-standard care
  • Collaborate closely with the veterinary team, sharing expertise and supporting colleagues
  • Contribute ideas to improve clinical practice and patient outcomes
  • The role is part-time, with flexible scheduling options. Weekend shifts are negotiable, ideally 1 in 4 Saturdays (9am5:30pm) and Sundays (10:30am4pm).
