Prospect Health is looking for an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly and well-established first-opinion practice on the Cheshire/Staffordshire border.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident Vet who enjoys a varied GP caseload and would like to join a close-knit practice with strong links to its local community.

You will have the opportunity to combine consulting and surgery, take clinical responsibility when required and play an active role in the continued development of the practice.

The Role

This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week, with a varied mix of consultations and surgery.

You can expect:

About the Practice

This RCVS accredited practice has a strong reputation locally and combines high clinical standards with a friendly, community-focused approach.
You'll be joining a supportive team that includes experienced Registered Veterinary Nurses and front-of-house colleagues.

The practice has a strong local client base and prides itself on building long-term relationships with clients and their pets.

While it has the welcoming feel of a traditional local veterinary practice, the team is ambitious and keen to continue developing its services and presence within the community.

About You

This position would suit an experienced Veterinary Surgeon who:

• Has solid small animal first-opinion experience
• Is comfortable working sole charge when required
• Enjoys both medicine and surgery
• Is confident managing a varied GP caseload
• Takes a proactive and collaborative approach
• Enjoys building strong client relationships
• Would like to contribute to the growth and development of a practice
• Has an interest in mentoring and supporting less experienced Vets

Located on the Cheshire/Staffordshire border, offering an attractive combination of countryside and excellent transport links.

The town has a good selection of cafés, pubs and local amenities, while the surrounding countryside and Peak District provide plenty of options for walking and outdoor activities.

Excellent rail and road connections, including easy access to the M6, make Crewe, Stoke-on-Trent and Manchester readily accessible.
