The Opportunity

We are representing a well-established and rapidly expanding small animal practice seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon with a strong interest in surgery. This is an excellent chance to step into a senior role, support clinical leadership, and help guide the veterinary team while continuing to develop your own surgical skills.
The position offers a predominantly surgical caseload while still incorporating consultations and the full variety of general practice duties. Flexible working options, including part-time arrangements, can be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support clinical leadership and mentor fellow vets
  • Take a lead role in surgical cases while maintaining involvement in general practice
  • Deliver exceptional standards of care across consults, procedures, and client communication
  • Work collaboratively within a friendly, enthusiastic and supportive team

About the practice

This progressive small animal clinic was established in 2009 and has recently relocated to a brand-new, purpose-built facility spanning 4,500 sq ft. The practice has doubled in size and invested heavily in state-of-the-art equipment, including:
  • On-site CT scanner
  • Rehabilitation centre with hydrotherapy and physiotherapy
  • Dental radiography suite
  • 7 consult rooms
  • 2 surgical theatres
  • Diagnostic imaging & ultrasound suite
  • Internal laboratory
  • Gold-standard hospital wards
  • You'll join a team currently consisting of 3 Vets, 6 RVNs, a physiotherapist and 6 Client Care Advisors. The caseload is varied, with the majority of procedures kept in-house, and the practice actively encourages certificates and clinical special interests.

Working Pattern & Benefits

  • Full-time or part-time options available
  • 1 in 4 Saturday mornings (9am12pm)
  • No OOH, Sundays or Bank Holidays
