Senior Veterinary Surgeon / Lead Clinician

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to step into a Senior Vet / Lead Clinician position within a growing small animal practice in the Evesham area.

This role is ideal for a confident vet looking to combine clinical work with leadership responsibilities, helping to shape the direction, culture, and ongoing development of an ambitious and expanding practice.

Key Duties

  • Deliver high-quality first-opinion veterinary care
  • Lead and support the clinical team on a day-to-day basis
  • Mentor and develop less experienced veterinary surgeons
  • Help shape clinical standards, team culture, and practice growth
  • Manage a varied small animal caseload
  • Build strong client relationships and maintain excellent patient care standards
  • Work collaboratively with leadership and wider support teams

Working Pattern

  • Full-time position
  • Flexible shift structure with choice of 8-hour or 10-hour days
  • 1 in 3 Saturdays
  • Sundays always free
  • Paid overtime available

Key Skills, Qualifications and Requirements

  • BVSc or equivalent qualification recognised in the UK
  • RCVS registration (or eligibility)
  • Ideally 5-8+ years' post-graduation experience
  • Strong clinical and surgical skills within small animal practice
  • Previous mentoring or leadership experience advantageous
  • Excellent communication and team-building skills
  • Positive, proactive mindset with a passion for clinical excellence and team development
