An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Full-Time Veterinary Surgeon to join an established small animal practice in the Leeds area. This is a varied first-opinion role offering a structured working week, a supportive team environment and the opportunity to develop your clinical skills across consulting, surgery and inpatient care.

The practice is looking for a confident and committed Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys a varied caseload and wants to be part of a collaborative team delivering high standards of patient and client care.

The Role

• Full-time Veterinary Surgeon position.
• 40 hours per week.
• Varied small animal first-opinion caseload.
• Structured working week incorporating consulting, surgery and inpatient care.
• Two consulting shifts per week.
• One dedicated surgical shift per week.
• One hospital/inpatient shift per week.
• Opportunity to develop and utilise a broad range of clinical skills.
• Supportive team environment with access to experienced colleagues.
• No visa sponsorship available for this position.

Working Pattern

• 40 hours per week.
• Monday to Friday hours structured around consulting, surgical and inpatient shifts.
• 1 in 4 weekends.
• Approximately 35 hours worked Monday to Friday, with the remaining hours incorporated into the weekend rota.
• Specific shift patterns can be discussed during the recruitment process.

Key Skills, Qualifications and Requirements

• MRCVS or eligible to register with the RCVS.
• Small animal general practice experience preferred.
• Confident managing a varied first-opinion caseload.
• Comfortable with both consulting and surgical work.
• Good communication and client-care skills.
• A collaborative approach to working within a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to delivering high standards of patient care.
• Applicants should have the right to work in the UK, as visa sponsorship is not currently available.

Package and Benefits

• Salary of £45,000 - £60,000 DOE.
