Branch Partner - Veterinary Surgeon

We are working on behalf of a growing veterinary group to recruit a Practice Partner for a well-established clinic in Pontefract.

This role offers an alternative route into ownership for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon who wants greater influence, autonomy, and long-term reward - without taking on the pressures of running a business entirely alone. The partnership has been purpose-built to balance clinical freedom with commercial support, and includes a clearly defined exit framework to support long-term planning.

Who should consider this opportunity?

This position would suit a vet who:
  • Is ready to step into practice ownership and take responsibility for its direction
  • Wants to retain full authority over clinical standards and patient care
  • Enjoys leading, motivating, and developing a close-knit clinical team
  • Is commercially curious and motivated by building value over time
  • Sees partnership as a more sustainable option than sole ownership

Partnership overview

  • Equity-backed partnership
You will hold a genuine ownership stake in the practice, with monthly profit share linked directly to equity. The model ensures transparency and alignment between partners.

  • Practice development and value growth
By investing in the clinic's development, partners benefit from increased profitability and the growth of the business value, realised both during ownership and at exit.

  • Planned and protected exit
A pre-agreed equity buy-back structure provides clarity on future options, allowing you to plan with confidence when the time comes to step back.

Support you can rely on

  • Clinical autonomy with collaboration
You will lead the clinical direction locally while being supported by a wider network of experienced clinicians and partner peers.

  • Business and operational infrastructure
Central teams provide expertise across finance, HR, marketing, procurement and facilities, alongside systems that deliver clear performance insight.

  • Regional operational guidance
An experienced operations lead supports you with day-to-day operational matters and longer-term planning, enabling you to stay focused on your team and patients.

All conversations will be treated with complete confidentiality.
